Of course beware that the internet is the breeding ground for colleges with substandard programs with little value so try to get some help and find information about reputable, trustworthy colleges so that you would not have to regret your decisions later. You will hardly need professional advice for this, as probably your younger relations and friends will know wealth of information about such colleges.
You may also be able to find some states offering financial aid to those who wish to return to college and maybe this would be a thing worth checking out. But you ought to check out the agreement between providing financial aid and their expectations in return. You should also remember that to return to college you don t have to be a person who is looking for a better job. Furthering your knowledge is a good idea in whatever you intend to do later and it is unlikely that your knowledge will go to waste.
A return to college will not be easy for you emotionally. You may have to deal with a crowd younger than your generation; including the teachers. So adjusting to the environment after you return to college might not be all that easy but it is not impossible. Many institutes facilitate programs that will help you to bridge the gaps. But it is important to remember that adjustments take time.
There is hardly any need to mention that there will be many more challenges waiting for you it you wish to return to college. But even forgetting the academic qualifications factor college life is a good experience and you might not be too late to in getting that experience if you return to college now
